The results are up on www.nyrr.org. My official time was 37.56, slightly better than I thought, though I was in the bottom fifth of men in my age group, placing 263rd out of 330. There's a metric I can work on for the next race.
There were 4,878 finishers, and official temp was 27 degrees with 13 mph winds.

Nice job. As you per mile pace quickens your place in your age group will rise accordingly. It's all good.
And, hey, there were like 1.5MM men in your age grp in NYC. who didn't even get out that day for that race!
Congrats! I like Agricola's point. Even thinking about the race put you ahead of those 1.5MM non-runners.
Nice work.
