and windy! 12 degrees to start with 30+ mph wind makes for a cold run. Need to figure out better protection for the jewels. Otherwise, I was properly attired for the weather. Decent 4.5 mile run this morning. No lingering effects from the x-training. Need 1 more 3 mile run this month to reach goals. Going to be tight tomorrow.

Good for you to get out in the cold. You might want to switch out of the chaps on the cold days. You won't be as stylish, but I do find that full on pants are warmer.
I actually just got a pair of Integral pants from Patagonia. I haven't broken them out in the extreme cold, but they seem like they'll be warm.
I don't know, I find chaps very comfortable even in the cold. They let the intestinal gas flow freely, no trapping methane in your shorts.
Chaps, running, gross.
I wear some wind proof underwear that I got from performancebike.com but I can't seem to find tem anymore on that site -- I even googled it and got a result to that site but it's not there anymore. Mine are made by Duofold, but I don't see them on the web anymore, even on duofold's site -- which is a drag. I'll ask a buddy who told me about them, and get back to you -- but I almost froze my boys off once in Brooklyn on a 3F run along the promenade.
