Just registered for the VT City Marathon. It was strangely difficult.

You and me, Agricola. Any other takers out there?

Nice! I'm psyched!

Now we just have to start running!
I've got one on tap this weekend with my bro who's in town for Christmas,so that will be good. NExt week is a light week at work with a lot of from home work, so I can probably get in a few then. It's really about the ankle right now -- this weather, of more snow and ice today, is lousy for rehab running . . . but I'll suck it up and go. I've turned down a ski weekend on new year's weekend because I can't move my foot the way it needs to to get in the boot without big hurt -- forget compacting it inside of hard plastic right now . . . but I'll go run on it :-/.

It will be fun to train together for the same race on the LDT. We'll need to plan a couple of long runs together, OK? One up by you, one down here, maybe run part of the Boston course?

I'm all over the training together. It's the only way to go, really. I will say that I'm going to ease back into the running. May is a long way away, and we're already in good shape. It's all about staying into it, adding distance, and knowing we're going to crush it. It will be a good time, and very cool to train for the same race here. I'm looking forward to it. Love your enthusiasm.

Oh, and you're doing the right thing by waiting out the ankle. I say enjoy the holidays and go for it in '08...but that might just be to make me feel better about my sloth.

Yeah, this Christmas week is all about slow and low, and getting back in shape. thanks for the comment about may is a long ways off -- I was feeling like it wasn't, seriously. I was starting to stress a bit . . .

I've definitely lost a step in my convalescence and really looking forward to running -- I just need to re-train my mind to not be lazy and get out of bed and go which is tough right now b/c my kids are actually sleeping until 7 AM these days (HEAVEN!).

On a tech note, subscribe to the comments via email, it's cool! you get comments to posts in your in-box.
