Turkey Trot

Thanksgiving Morning, Mrs. FA and I ran to the entrance of her folks' subdivision and then back to the house. It's about three miles. I went out in shorts and a technical shirt with a long sleeve cotton race shirt over it, which I peeled off with about a mile to go. I have not yet donned a hat this Fall. Today (Saturday) was warm and beautiful, too, for almost-December. We spent part of the afternoon erecting a temporary barrier that (hopefully) will deter the plow-man from tearing up our garden, if we get any snow this year. So there was some light yard-work-out. I hit three runs this past week, and will think through my schedule for the coming week soon enough. Enjoy the rest of the long weekend, fellas.

Run 54

Ran ~ 3 miles in ~ 27 minutes on Saturday afternoon, sneaking away with Mrs. FA from her parent's place for an out-and-back to the edge of their subdivision. It's ugly what a long weekend of heavy eating can do. I was happy with my time, but felt sluggish and breathless. Sticking to bran and veggies this week.

Run 53

Got out for just 2 miles yesterday (Wednesday), one mile uphill, and one mile down. I wanted to make up for lost runs last week and stay active through the holiday, with its opportunities for overeating. I'm fairly uncomfortable this morning. Don't know if it was too soon after Tuesday's late afternoon 5k, or the big hill, but I feel sore and worn out. Resting now. Enjoy your turkey boys. Peace,
